The number of tools and options is outstanding. Almost every workflow, no matter the complexity, that I have thought of, I was able to create in AgilePoint.
AgilePoint's process app design, development and deployment environment and tools are extremely rich. The process design and development environment not only provides a valuable, understandable representative process image but creates a runtime process engine requiring little to no additional code development. We have chosen to develop additional process application home pages (.NET) for our business users that give them insight in to process performance metrics, real time process instance status and process data reporting dashboards. Process application Integration in our primarily Microsoft environment as well as with other point applications (cloud and on-prem) easily achieved in most cases.
By using AgilePoint to improve business process services, we're able to respond more quickly to changes in my business service processes, and ensure the my workflows are optimized for maximum efficiency. This can help me stay ahead of the competition and better serve my customers.
I absolutely LOVE this product. The following are areas of potential improvement. 1) They have incorporated 3rd party add-ins (like Analytics) that they can't modify themselves and have to request updates that may or may not happen. There can also be some clunkiness when integrating into their systems. 2) The Data Entities database is not that user friendly. I can't rearrange columns or do mass updates to entries. 3) The system isn't designed to receive large files through e-forms. I get that this can degrade performance when large files are being uploaded, but it's a frequent need for our business and it would be great if this is something they could look into for future development. Max file size for upload that I have found is around 380 Mb. 4) The user community section doesn't seem to help me when I have issues, so I usually resort to opening helpdesk tickets. Some things I think I can surely find there, but usually don't. Maybe if I had the ability to view other user's tickets, or they were able to publish them somehow, I could take better advantage of the support center.

For non-technical users who my not be familiar with workflow engine or development processes, the AgilePoint platform may have a steep learning curve. AgilePoint needs to provide more remote education courses to help users with any issues they may have and share useful tips and best practices with them.

Powerful business management tool accessible to citizen developers
AgilePoint is a good tool to manage business processes and develop customized solutions that meet our business needs and internal customers requirements. It has good automation capability and great integration capabilities (with our ERP and Office tools). It is accessible to users with no IT background who can develop simple workflows. Complex workflows require support from an AgilePoint developer. The developer we are working with always responds effectively and in a timely manner. Even though it can be used for non-IT users, it is sometimes difficult and not easy to understand how few of the functionnalities work (I'm thinking about rules that most of the time require JavaScript to work the way we want them to work).
