Advanced detection and continual hunts are a major plus. However, where they really shine is the recommendations given for network changes, where they see them. On top of that, they have a direct connection to their separate global incident response team, who can address more severe issues. It makes it easy to use, and allows me to get some sleep at night, knowing they've got us protected.
1. The Incident response team is highly skilled and available around the clock, they handle issues with real urgency. 2. Integration with our existing check point ecosystem was seamless, everything works under one unified dashboard. 3. Their reporting and post-incident analysis are very detailed and help in improving our internal security controls. and lastly, 4. The overall support quality is top-notch, they understand enterprise-level concerns.
I would like to highlight the following aspects: Accessibility and centralization: The cloud solution allows access from any location, enabling the management of multiple services and clients on a single platform with unified authentication, whule simultaneously ensuring complete segregation of environments without interference. Comprehensive documentation: The platform provides robust and well-structured technical documentation, helping with implementation and troubleshooting. Active community: There is a highly engaged technical community, particularly Checkmates, and regular technical webinars, which provide effective solutions and suppot in resolving operational challenges. Responsive Technical Support: Support boats exceptional response times, with cases frequently resolved the same day or within a few hours. I have experience that tickets related to colleagues access were resolved in less than two hours, always requiring security validation with users before any action.
Firstly, I dislike the fact that some of the recommendations will be made, regarding a discovered incident, but it's never escalated to the level that my C-suite like to hear about. Not a big issue, and something a bit specific to US, but it adds a little bit of annoyance. Secondly, the occasional, semi-random, call-back to previously opened cases, that we have not gotten a specific answer on. Since the MDR team operates in a 'Follow the sun' staffing, it's not unheard of for us to get emails, in the middle of the night, that look like MDR alerts.. but it's just the MDR engineer reaching out, to see if we've gotten any more information about a previous alert. Thirdly, and probably the worst thing about the ENTIRE product... their MDR portal doesn't support mobile devices. Trying to log in from a phone, or a tablet, results in a completely blank screen, when you're trying to read MDR tickets. This is the largest complaint I have. If they're not going to offer an easy to use ticketing system, they need to work on a mobile app that WILL allow the customers to interact, without having to stop everything they're doing, and find a PC.
1. The initial setup and documentation could have been a bit more simplified for faster understanding. 2. Sometimes communication between regional and global support takes a little longer than expected. 3. The cost is slightly on the higher side compared to some other options, but considering the quality of service, it's acceptable.
I have identified the following areas for improvement: Integration complexity: Some third-party integrations can be challenging, mainly the older or legacy systems. Endpoint protection performance: Although the devices meet the specified minimum requirements, the EOP impacts the user productivity on older or low-spec computers after installing the EOP agent. Limitations on support access: Requiring authentication to open tickets creates a paradoxical situation when the issue is related to difficulties accessing the platform, limiting the ability to request assistance at the most critical moments.

Checkpoint's MDR services have been what I would classify as a 'Gold Standard' for MDR services. From the initial contact, all the way until current implementations, it's made our lives so much easier. We'd originally been with another MDR vendor, and when that vendor decided to double our pricing, upon renewal, we started what should have been a tedious process to select and onboard a new MDR/EDR vendor, all while still dealing with the previous vendor, until our contract was up. The team went out of their way to explain how things worked, both the same and different, and precisely laid out how hunts and escalations work. We have been using Check Point Infinity Global Services for quite some time now, and overall the experience has been really positive. The onboarding process was smooth, and their support team is very responsive and professional. What I personally liked is how proactive they are during any incident - they don't just react but also help us strengthen our security posture for the future.
