Performance of HashiCorp Vault Across Market Features
HashiCorp Vault Likes & Dislikes
The easy integration and many possible use cases. What I like most about Vault is its robust approach to secrets management and access control. It provides fine.grained policies, dynamic secrets and strong integration with identity providers, making it incredibly secure and flexible for amanging sensitive data across distributed systems.
Good for secret and token management. It also provides encryption capabilities
Rather than relying on updating a bunch of environment variables across all the different environments, we let HashiCorp do that for us. Credentials are securely stored away as secrets that can be easily retrieved through the application. So we have one centralized place where we can store and manage all credentials.
The cost for the licenses are considerable, depending on the complexity. What I additionally dislike most is the steep learning curve, especially when setting up advanced configurations like dynamic secrets.
Steep learning curve and is complex to manage roles and policies
It can be a bit expensive when used across multiple regions like our application uses it for. It can also be complex to set up without someone who has strong expertise regarding things like this.

Elevating Access Control with HashiCorp Vault enterprise software
HashiCorp Vault is our tool of choice for privileged access management and a central store for passwords and secrets in a large company. It will allow to integrate with your company's systems to provision new users with their passwords automatically stored inside the vault. The user will not need to see or get in touch with the password as it will be automatically pulled when needed (API integration required). No clear text password needs to leave the vault or needs to be stored in another credential store other than the HashiCorp Vault.
