Okta offers a large amount of configuration capability when it comes to IAM. We have been able to leverage a lot of their granular controls (auth polices + rules, device trust, OIG, etc.) to really tighten up on security for our users. That being said, it feels like they have lost some momentum when it comes to fully rounding out and and polishing their product suite to create a more seamless experience and operational efficiency. They are making some strides, but the pace feels slow.

“Okta Workforce Identity Balances Ease of Use With Limited Customization Options”
Using Okta Workforce Identity feels like a dependable middle of the road identity platform that handles the basics well. Day to day, SSO and MFA are reliable and easy to roll out across most of our SaaS applications. User and group management in the admin console is straightforward. For me it feels like its lacking when I need deeper customization or reporting. I often have to lean on APIs to get the level of insight or workflow control that I'm looking for in Endpoint Protection.

With the silver plan, Okta engineers have always been able to respond in a reasonable time-frame and provide useful insight. Using Okta Workforce Identity has personally been life-changing for me. It has simplified security in our office without compromising - but rather improving on the existing infrastructure that we already have in place that fortifies our defenses against threats. I only encountered one issue with Okta which only occurred when my old password expired and I needed to have our admin team reset it for me since I also forgot the answer to my security question. It is super secure - I have my security key with me, but since I forgot my password and or security answer, I am not really able to bypass and sign in to my computer at work.
