SAP Manufacturing Execution (Legacy) Likes & Dislikes
i like the completeness of features offered by the system for all the manufacturing phases and department involved in the shop floor. i like the user interface which is basic, essential but complete, and easy to navigate through. i like the possibility to exchange information from/to the tool using the web service calls
It had some good features that allowed you to tie in
The fact that it integrates all processes to run our manufacturing site along with its in depth software, it handles everything from finance to finished good release. The drop down boxes for help provides an extra level of comfort when trying to figure out how to proceed with a transaction.
it can be considered a standard off the shelf tool so better to avoid any type of customization because the price for development is extremely high and can jeopardize the future upgrades
The software itself seemed like it had too many steps to achieve a certain feature. It could have been simplified a lot more like other programs that were used.
It can be complicated to learn if you have never used a system like SAP before.

Great program, CMMS features IF you use all of it to its full ability.
My overall experience was OK with this platform. It did take some time to get used to it compared to others I have used. Seemed like somethings took so long to achieve that should be a simple task. - ENGINEERING MANAGER50M-1B USDManufacturingReview Source

SAP is a complex but amazing system
SAP is an amazing, almost overwhelming platform that handles all aspects of the business. With a single system, multiple departments are involved keeping track of all business needs. - ENGINEER50M-1B USDEnergy and UtilitiesReview Source
A Honest REview for SAP Manufacturing Execution
Our experience with SAP is not one of the best. The implementation phase took more than twice the time planned. This was mainly because at every step we did we had to do one backwards. This complex software requires a lot of planning that you have to take into consideration that is very difficult to not have problems.
