What is SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite?

SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite is an integration platform for connecting applications, partners and data across cloud, on-premises and hybrid environments, available as an iPaaS or fully managed service. It includes BIS Hub, BIS Server and BIS Accelerator Services. BIS Hub provides integration design and orchestration with AI-assisted mapping, agentic AI-guidance and packaged integrations such as E-Invoicing and Peppol, based on reusable integration assets operated by SEEBURGER in a multi-cloud setup. BIS Server delivers customer-operated integration runtime control in the cloud or on-premises and can be used with BIS Hub or independently. BIS Accelerator Services support implementation with predefined assets, automation and expert guidance. The suite supports MFT, B2B and EDI integration, application-to-application integration, API integration, automation, IIoT integration and AI-based orchestration.

SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite can be licensed through perpetual licensing, subscription or pay-per-use. Pricing depends on the required functionality and the selected deployment model. Supported deployment models include Public Cloud, Private Cloud, Hybrid Deployment, On-Premises Deployment and SEEBURGER multicloud.

The product is over complicated and involves lots of configuration. The platform has robust capabilities, but lack of user friendly interface makes it difficult to learn. Technical support is not what I would like to be.

Reliability. Strong presence in our main market areas like in Germany.

This product is robust after the setup and configuration is complete. It works best when your requirements are fixed and not constantly changing. Any thing you have in production works great as long as there are no changes/experimentation and your workflows are fixed.

Robust solution fully supported by Seeburger

Dislike

There are no service delivery meetings nor any other frequent follow up calls with management level. This is causing invisibility for future roadmaps and also causing a lack of strategy level viewpoints. Also, improving relationships and cooperation is then not happening organized way. Disappointment has been also Seeburger skills and knowledge for Poland eInvoicing. We selected Seeburger as a partner for this project but eventually a lot of knowledge we have been needed to bring from external consulting. One other thing is that Seeburger has rather tight and inflexible resources who could support us. Often when someone is off or there is changes in roles or someone is leaving, then support team is not able to be backfill properly. This we have seen even we have some timelines agreed for high prio topics.

Dislike

The number of servers and components you need to make the environment work seems more than necessary. Difficult to learn and use front end interface. There are no easy ways to connect to Cloud providers. Some components are buggy and needs constant vendor provided fixes.

    International Rollout Struggles due to Limited Expertise

    It is a good tool. We have taken 24*7 support which has been working well so far. International rollout is proving to be a bit of challenge as it is difficult to find expertise in the tool outside of USA

    BIS6 is a connection system complete and reliable

    BIS6 is a connection system complete and reliable. We use BIS5 since 2006 and we migrated to BIS6 in 2018. With BIS6 we translate simply and safely way SAP IDOCs in flat files EDI, CSV files and XML files, and we deliver the translated files to systems with different platforms BIS6 performs these operations efficiently even though they may occur contemporaneous translation of hundreds of files. It take few seconds to receipt, translate and deliver files to final system. In case of error BIS6 sends a detailed MAIL to one or more email addresses and / or mailing lists. A good initial customization of the system will give you excellent results in terms of efficiency and management of translation We are very satisfied with BIS6.
