What i like most about Sophos SafeGuard is its comprehensive encryption, centralized management, ensuring strong security and peace of mind
The product worked better with windows 8.1 and 10 then it did with windows 7. Using the built in bitlocker engine on the later OS proved to be a more reliable solution. We liked the ability to customize our boot screen with our logo and privacy statement. The cloud console was easy for our support personnel to use and unlock users.
safety of data and files accessibility
One of the drawbacks of Sophos SafeGuard is that it can be complex to set up and manage. There is also a lack of extensive customization options. Additionally, the cost can be high for small businesses
We have a fair number of users experiencing tpm errors where their computers cannot be unlocked remotely. They have had to send their computers in to our service desk hq, where command prompts can be used to unlock, reset, and rearm the tpm. Certain OS patches seem to trigger these lockouts.
I do not find any dislike

Some very minor issues but overall a solid product.
Occasional strange quirks but overall a good, well structured product. We use this in an environment with both Windows 7 & Windows 10. For Windows 10, Sophos enables BitLocker and manages it, where on Windows 7 it simply installs its own encryption toolkit. Key/certificate management is all well centralized, and we have yet to run into an instance where the available key recovery methods were not enough to save a laptop, in cases where things like the boot sector have been corrupted, etc. Encryption does make it more difficult but that's to be expected. We have noticed that installing Sophos Safeguard onto Windows 7 clients causes significant performance cuts, most notably adding 60+ seconds to the boot time. Introducing an SSD to the hardware helps this significantly, however. As for Windows 10, there are no noticeable performance drawbacks. Installation/setup usually takes no more than 10 minutes on an endpoint. On a 500GB 5400RPM HDD, and Windows 7, full disk encryption usually takes around 8 hours. A 500GB SSD will usually take no more than 2. Decryption, where needed, takes about half the time it takes to encrypt. Sophos SafeGuard for the WIN
Safeguard is a product that requires business process architecture review and possibly change. It offers extreme benefits for a tiny price and IT infrastructure.
