What I like most is how flexible it is to connect into other tools we were already using. Being able to tie payments directly into Jotform and then use Zapier to automatically send purchased documents to clients saved a lot of manual work and made the whole process feel seamless from the customer's side. I also liked how dependable the payment processing was day to day, since we didnt have to worry about transactions failing or needing a lot of intervention. Another big plus was the access to funding based on receivables, which gave us another option to manage cash flow when volume was changing.
It is able to process payments, especially in North America.
Developer friendly APIS and documentation were great. The Stripe API is very clean, well structured and thoroughly documented which makes the integration fast and flexible for custom use cases. Global payment support, especially the reliability of international credit cards. It supports multiple currencies, local payment markets, and international transactions seamlessly, which is critical for scaling globally. Subscription and billing automation. It is a turn-key solution with recurring billing, invoicing and smart trial logic that significantly reduces manual work and revenue leakage Clear dashboards and reporting tools - the admin interface provides strong visibility into transactions, disputes, payouts, and customer activity in real time.
If I had to point to a few things, some of the reporting views took me a little time to get used to when I first started using them, especially when looking for very specific transaction details. There were also times where I needed to click through a few screens to find certain settings, which wasnt a big issue but added a little extra navigation. Lastly, when setting up more advanced workflow connections, it sometimes took trial and error to get everything mapped exactly the way I wanted. None of these affected our ability to process payments or serve customers, but they were small areas that could be a little more streamlined.
When using it in certain non-NA countries, their presence and capabilities are not as good as some competitors. The leadership of the project decided to go with Stripe instead, and it has caused some difficulties.
While transparent, the standard pricing can become expensive as volume grows. Especially for international cards and currency conversions Dispute and chargeback handling - the process can sometimes feel rigid and outcomes often favor the card networks, making it difficult to recover funds, even with strong documentation Some account stability risks - Stripes automated risk monitoring can sometimes flag or block accounts with limited prior notice, which can disrupt operations.
