I love that every resource has a home and the robust navigation (including the new mega menu). The customization and personalization of our ThoughtFarmer intranet is outstanding! Some specific aspects I love: Admin access is within the same website - not two different sites. SSO option makes login easy and secure. Active Directory connection means less manual updates for staffing changes. Form functionality makes it feasible to cut down on emails. Status indicators are super helpful!!! They show which systems/services are down at specific locations. We have not utilized the mobile app version of this yet for security reasons, but I love that it's an option and it's likely something we'll explore in the future. Profile only users are awesome - we made a mascot a profile only user and have gotten great feedback from staff about how fun it is! The mascot is made to be our primary support contact - questions go to an email group with the mascot's name, that has a variety of staff members who can respond to inquiries.
Being able to customize the permissions of what the users can and cannot see is a huge benefit. The analytics as an admin user are incredibly helpful. Tailoring the look and feel of content pages without needing or waiting for ITS or a developer has been great. We have complete control over our content.
The end user friendly capabilities.
Specific functionality: If a page is in draft mode, it's not visible at all. Ideally, there'd be a draft mode of the page and a non-draft mode existing at the same time. We wanted it set up so certain people can make edits, but those edits have to be approved by other individuals prior to posting (our branch managers make edits, then approved by higher-level staff). This is not an option with ThoughtFarmer. I wish there was the ability to see what other people see. Folks will ask me for assistance and sometimes I misguide them because my view as a superadmin is different than theirs, and I don't know what areas they have access to. External links are not set up ideally at all. They are not searchable and there's not a 'broken link' report to determine if any of the links have changed. This is the one area that needs major improvement, asap. Two for forms: Notifications are not and cannot be automatic when comments are added. Someone must be tagged to get a notification. Screenshots cannot be attached to form replies.
Only very small things come to mind. 1- I wish you could put your bookmarks in a certain order manually. Right now you can only rename them but put them in title order but not manually but them in a specific order. 2- In the Forms, I don't like that you can change the status even if you aren't the one assigned. It should force you to re-assign yourself as the reviewer before allowing you to change the status. I know it shows in the All Activity that you updated the status but the submitter will get a notice that someone other than yourself ''approved it which is misleading. 3- it would be nice in the forms workflow if after final status, there was an option to kick something else off. For example, if your form was for a leave/time off request, if approved, it could add the approved time off to a specific calendar automatically.
There is still room for improvement for certain customizable features such as selecting the way that anniversaries are displayed (chronological or grouped by years of service), allowing more features on the comments/reactions. I've had several users ask for the ability to post GIFs or other emojis other than the heart on comments. Photo gallery could use comments section under the pictures. Allow Shout-outs and Activity to cut off at a set limit of comments and the user can click into those features if they want to read more.

Our overall experience has been fantastic! 'Truly Exceptional' is a great way to describe it. Coming from someone who has never built/launched an intranet, ThoughtFarmer made it as easy as possible.
