I have used Workfront for 6 years, and it has been an amazing tool for project management, insight, and our system of record. It is a broad tool, and I often tell people, "If there's one way to do something in Workfront, there's probably three more". The ability to allow users to custom-craft their own reports and develop their own bespoke environment has been invaluable. Some pain points arise from a lack of in-depth documented training material (it is mostly broadly addressing the issues for which we're troubleshooting), which usually results in lengthy deep-dives into Experience League to try to glean information from community comments and questions, which often tend to not have responses from Admins, experts, or have clear-cut solutions to our common problems.

Workfront works fine for most situations as a project management tool, but there are some situations where it has fallen flat: - Handling bulk updates for large projects or a large group of tasks is slow, cumbersome and causes frustration - Lack of rich text on descriptions makes it difficult for users to use descriptions effectively - Lack of automation and tracking opportunities to make it an effective PM tool for our web development team These situations have created detractors in our organization that are dissatisfied with Workfront's service. It also continues to become more expensive for us, especially with the need for additional Fusion integration to support automation.

Workfront's project reporting features help us to acquire all details about our projects which makes it easy to identify issues or delays on tasks. Workfront's live project dashboards allow us to track how each task in our project is progressing, making it easy to ensure everything is flowing according to plan. Workfront has document management features which allow us to secure and organize all the project documents making it easy to access them. Workfront's workspace has effective team communication functions which allows us to collaborate on our projects easily.

- Lack of transparency into road-mapped features; teasing functionality, but dropping without much notification - Seemingly hoarded documentation and deep-discussion platforms, with little to no training or informational communities outside of the Experience League, which tends to not yield much in the way of issue-specific troubleshooting - Lack of physical asset tracking, such as equipment, room scheduling, or asset checkout. In a marketing production environment, the ability to schedule and track physical resources is a major aspect.

We have been using Workfront for a long time now and we have never found any that does not fit our needs. There is no aspect of Workfront that has ever been disappointing.

    Ongoing Communication Issues and Documentation Gaps equals frustration for system admins

    Adobe's communication is astonishingly poor. It amazes me how little information they provide, how reticent they are at sharing status updates of important matters that impact work on our side of the tool. We love the product, but abhor the business. With each product release we encounter issues that cause my team to be taken away from the work that supports our marketing organization.
