Excellent response time for mean time to detection, mean time to remediation and professional feedback during true-positive events. 4. Outstanding, intuitive user interface to manage alerts, clearly communicate action, and provide full transparency of activity and statistics.
Their focus on monitoring, and managing security tools that are difficult to internally manage with a small staff.
Critical Start was able to get operational and effective across many thousands of devices on multiple continents in a short amount of time and provides pretty excellent coverage. They were also fairly agnostic as to the endpoint client and were able to accommodate different EDRs simultaneously. We have used them for many years and have never been disappointed. We regularly test their detection capabilities, and they are able to accommodate our own custom detections without difficulty. Their MTTD & MTTR are fairly consistent and always well above industry standards. The phone app is feature-rich and comes in handy more often than you would think.
No notable issues or weaknesses.
Inconsistent follow up and execution.
Reporting is pretty good, but there are some head scratchers in there from time to time. They are not a budget option, but I do not expect them to be. Mean Time To Detect and Mean Time To Respond seem to have crept up by about 10-15% over the last year, but are still in the acceptable range.
