The search capabilities are amazing in terms of log analysis and the agents capability to support multiple hosts is great (on prem servers, jetsons/bots, ec2, pis, etc.)
Steeper learning curve for newbies The sheer power of its unified search and AI features means it takes a week or two to master all the advanced correlations, but once youre in its magic. Resource hungry on tiny setups in very small dev environments (4gb RAM), Elasticsearch can feel heavy during initial indexing, though it flies in production-scale deployments with proper sizing. Too many great options! The dashboard customization is so extensive that you can get analysis paralysis choosing between 20 visualization types-but thats a luxury problem when everything just works so well.
Sometimes the upgrades between major releases are not straightforward/seamless, and lead to failure. Performance due to CPU or memory usage is usually my concern. It has rigid upgrade options and lead to big jump on cost to overcome performance issues.
The stability of the agents is a major concern right now and it can be quite resource intensive. Out of the box alerting and metrics on agent self metrics solution would be really helpful for very small teams.

There are a lot of out of the box dashboards, integrations, and other resources but it was lacking to some extent for a robotics product for observability.
