We appreciate the Algonomy team members that we have worked with and their desire to help find and implement solutions. On a product level: Personalized experiences for known users. Ability to A/B test different strategies and configurations. Segmentation strategies for both product recommendations as well as content. All-in-one solution for personalizing the on-site Search & PLP, PDP pages along with the ability to integrate Email Product Recommendations.

Like

Merchandising tools, the ability to customize a lot of the rulesets, good API integrations

Ease of use of the dashboard, clear and helpful analytics, options to expand past recommendations with other areas like email marketing and search features.

Dislike

The Account Portal is a little disorganized and lacks critical system status details such as data health or search indexing errors. Some documentation was unclear or provided misleading information during integration. Reporting is lacking and only provides basic information.

Dislike

Double-edged sword regarding merchandising tools. Sometimes you're forced to customize rules that you'd expect to work out-of-the-box. If this is not resourced by an expert, expect issues or at the very least, sub-par performance

We've experienced issues with reccs showing in specific areas of the site but weren't able to figure out the cause

    Overall, I feel algonomy from a user standpoint is not very user friendly. The help we have received from representative has been incredibly helpful but I feel as though every time we try to set up something new there is something we are missing or it changes from the previous time we set up a similar rule. The site itself is also quite confusing to navigate and understand.
