Remote access: Multiple connection methods (Screen Connect, VNC, RDP make troubleshooting seamless. Scripting and automation: Highly customisable scripts to allow for proactive maintenance and bulk actions Ease of Deployment: Agent installation and job scheduling are straightforward, reducing onboarding friction. It has comprehensive support for Powershell and other languages (though we only use PowerShell) Integrates well with ScreenConnect and ticket systems. Remote access from our website works well. Agent deployment is also easy. throw the MSI and it installs for the designated site.
The optional help desk for end users, the remote access software is great, the documentation / notes are very helpful, technical support live chat is quick to troubleshoot issues, project proposal team is very thorough.
What I like most about Automate is how it helps my coworkers and I stay organized. When users message or email us directly, we can redirect them to the helpdesk email so everything becomes a ticket and nothing gets missed.
Inconsistent patching, failed deployments and it's a heavy learning curve when reporting. Often requires manual intervention. Some reporting menus/required add-on modules for reporting are not intuitive for new users in order to customise them.
It's more expensive than the competition, the agent software often needs to be troubleshot, the backup often stops working and needs to be addressed, the backup logs cannot be trusted.
The sheer number of features can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially for new users or when trying to configure more advanced workflows.
