Performance of LinkedIn Learning Across Market Features
LinkedIn Learning Likes & Dislikes
1- License flexibility and global deployment: We could allocate licenses by department and region, which made it easy to scale across multiple sites. For example, IT in north America and engineers in Europe both had access without needing separate contracts. 2- Course recommendation engine: The AI-driven recommendations actually worked well for our teams. An IT staff member completing the Azure fundamentals module would automatically see advanced cloud security or DevOps-related content suggested next, which encouraged continuous learning. 3- Mobile and offline usability: Many of our engineers accessed training while traveling to plant sites. The ability to download courses to the LinkedIn Learning mobile app was a big advantage compared to other platforms that were browser-only.
What I like most about the product is the customization features. There is the ability to create learning paths for the organization and create custom learning paths as a user based on career interests. I like the integration with the companies HR systems as well. Employees can easily see job postings they might be interested in and plan to learn the skills necessary for the role. Finally, I love the reporting features. These help us identify where employees are leaning in the most and support discovery and scoping for employee development initiatives built in house.
1. LinkedIn Learning offers an extremely wide range of courses on so many different topics. This makes it a service that any organization can integrate as all employees at all levels will be able to benefit from it. 2. Because there are so many options, managers are able to search for courses that will benefit them and them grow, which may be different from their colleagues or where they are in their management journey. 3. I love that you can give your managers different levels of access so they can assign courses to their own employees. Whether it's a course to help an employee develop a specific skill or an engagement challenge to get their entire team into a learning mindset, managers can assign courses and track completion. 4. Obtaining a certificate when you complete a course that you can proudly add to your LinkedIn page. 5. The courses integrate nicely with a lot of external Learning Management Software so you can link these courses to a platform your organization is using.
1-Admin granularity: While dashboards exist, I could not drill down by specific job role or compare adoption between plants without exporting data and building my own analysis. Role-based dashboards would save a lot of manual work. 2-Limited multi-language technical depth: Although there are subtitles in multiple languages, some of our non-English-speaking engineers found technical terms, especially around manufacturing standards like ISO/TS, were not fully localized. 3-Certification alignment gaps: For certain certifications (e.g. advanced SAP modules or specialized quality certifications) the content did not map 1:1 to the official exams. We had to supplement with other resources.
One of the main issues with the platform is the sheer volume of resources. There are a lot of courses and many of them are outdated. For example, courses created pre-covid that do not account for remote/hybrid working environments or trainings that reference social distancing and masking when these practices are not widely deployed. Another challenge is difficulty finding relevant information. Key word searches bring up many relevant topics and sometimes completely irrelevant topics that increase the time spent searching and take away from the time spent learning. Finally, the product is costly with low utilization.
1. There is a downside to having so many courses where employees can get overwhelmed by the course options available to them and determining which one is right for them. I have found that employees give up and refuse to use the service because they don't want to have to spend the time looking. 2. There are customization options but given that LinkedIn Learning is such a large company, I would expect there to be more customization options. For example, being able to put together a learning path that is more relevant to your employees by pulling together specific segments of larger courses, which unfortunately you aren't able to do. 3. from personal use, we have found that there are sometimes technical issues with adding and removing licenses. 4. Depending on the course, we have found that quite a bit of the material is US focused so you have to be careful especially for employees who may be searching for courses on their own.

Enterprise-Grade Learning Platform with strong Integration, License Flexibility and Robust Content Library
As the LinkedIn Learning Admin for a global manufacturing company, my overall experience has been strong. We are a very distributed organization with multiple sites and SAP at the core, so training has always been a bottleneck. LinkedIn Learning gives us a way to deliver training at scale without scheduling formal workshops every time a new tool, update or process comes out. Our IT staff uses it heavily for certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Fundamentals, CompTIA Security+) and hands on skills like Python scripting, SQL, and Power BI dashboards. On the manufacturing side, engineers leaned on courses around Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, ISO 9001 and statistical process control. From and admin standpoint, I managed license allocation, user provisioning through SSO (SAML with Active Directory) and reporting for leadership. I especially valued the usage analytics, since I could see trends like how many engineers completed SAP PP/MM training or how many IT staff were working through cybersecurity modules. Overall, it became a practical tool, not just a library, that helped our teams solve day-to-day problems faster and build toward certifications. - SENIOR MANAGER, HUMAN RESOURCES50M-1B USDMiscellaneousReview Source

LinkedIn Learning Offers Extensive Course Library With High-Quality Instructional Content
Our experience with LinkedIn Learning has been very positive - the library of learning content has breadth and depth across many different topic areas, the structured courses that map to certification curricula have been very helpful for our teams who are seeking various technical certifications, and the overall quality of the instructors and production value of the videos is quite high. - HEAD OF TALENT MANAGEMENT50M-1B USDIT ServicesReview Source
Professional, intuitive and integrable Learning hub, able to meet tha need of a Large organization
Linkedin strength lies in its candidate database. which it manages to enhance in term of skills through the Linkedin Learning suite, combined with its close relationship with companies for the Talent Solution part. Linkedin sales manager therefore have a wealth of insight, are very present and attentive to customers need, perfectly aligning their business objectives with the one of the Customers, offering a solution that is well integrating with Companies expectations. After sales is more challenging, as Linkedin was created as a Social Network and not as an education content provider, but in recent years they are rapidly closing the gap, both on the contents side and on their ability to support their customers in the critical area of content delivery and Analytics. - COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER50M-1B USDManufacturingReview Source
A solid choice for motivated learners who want flexible professional development choices.
LinkedIn Learning is a solid platform for professional development and building skills. I think it would be very useful if you're looking to plug some skill gaps or looking to try a new career and need a credible course. However, I just use it to expand my knowledge and skills in my current role to elevate my skills above the minimum requirements provided by my company. It's good for short but decent courses in all sorts of topics but if you wanted to gain a qualification, it's not really the place to do that. I think the monthly cost isn't too bad but I'm quite a motivated learner. I have heard that some companies cover the cost of it but depending on you employer, it's possible they could block some content that they might not deem relevant to you. I prefer to make my own choices and my company provides the ongoing education that is necessary to my job.
