The Lync tool was used before Skype and teams was very good for instant communication that time. Earlier we didn't need to share all valuable information or documents through the communication tool. Best Business Communication Tool
My organization uses Microsoft Lync for communication. We use it for regular text chat, Lync has the option for voice and video calls and also screen sharing to troubleshoot agents workstation or team meetings. Lync is very user friendly and is available on all devices.
