1. It lives inside Jira. No separate tool, no synchronisation problems, no adoption friction; it easily allows you to link existing Jira tickets to OKRs, documenting how day-to-day business contributes to major results. 2. The UI is clean and well-structured. The OKR tree view, progress tracking, and check-in workflows are easy to navigate. Colleagues unfamiliar with OKR methodology found their way around quickly. 3. Customer support is fast and technically competent. When we ran into API questions about field naming and endpoint behavior in Jira Data Center, the team responded the same day with concrete answers. 4. The external API exists and works. We built a programmatic integration that lets AI assistants create and update OKRs, which saved us hours of manual data entry when populating our initial OKR set of 50 elements. 5. Progress tracking is flexible. Start/target, threshold, binary, milestones, confidence levels. Different teams track different kinds of objectives, and OBoard accommodates that without workarounds.

The Data Center version receives updates later than the Cloud version (e.g. Some API features documented in the spec are not yet available, but they will be released soon according to the service support). This is understandable considering that Atlassian will terminate Data Center support in 2029.
limitation
Pulling reports into Excel doesn't include the check-in features, so it feels like quite a manual task to identify who hasn't checked in, or get it in date order in an easy to read excel format. The inability to have one to many KPIs or KRs means that we often have duplicates in Oboard as some teams have the same measure on KPIs etc. The lack of integration/automation with other systems such as salesforce/tableau means more manual work, but it's not the end of the world, more of a would be even better if ask.

Oboard Simplifies OKR Tracking
Oboard is intuitive when it comes to OKR tracking, and I really enjoy using the tool, it's easy to learn and navigate. The dashboard features are incredibly useful for reporting and snapshots out to other teams, and allows our business to be aligned on progress and problem areas. I'm excited to see what new features and developments Oboard has in 2026, and what improvements are made. Efficient OKRs management tool
We've been using oBoard for about 2 years in a mid-sized company, and I'm happy with how it combines simplicity with depth. It has helped us make our objectives and key results more transparent across all teams and stay aligned with our high-level strategy. The "alignment view", the progress tracking, and integration with Jira work items, work smoothly and make it easy to connect day-to-day work with strategic goals. Customer support is fast and very responsive, and they listen to user feedback to improve the product. There's not much to complain about.
