The ability to customize and configure on-call schedules and escalation policies allows us to resolve after-hours issues quickly with the minimal number of team members involved.

Like

Compliance, security, and help from the vendor on highly available large-scale cloud and on-premise deployments. This ensures peace of mind during incidents and compliance audits.

Alerting and on-call management features are well thought-out. Notification system is fast, and well configurable. Automation features are appreciated! User interface is intuitive

Dislike

The solution was a good fit for our multi-site hospital network, but configuring it for all of our physicians and health professions teams was challenging. Different teams had different escalation procedures. Change management was difficult for users that are used to physical pagers.

Dislike

PagerDuty operates in a competitive space. They have been innovating over the years with cloud SaaS offerings and more recently with AIOps features. However, the product could benefit from additional innovation, especially related to AI and visualizations, as technological advancements and other vendors move quickly.

Dislike

Not much, as the platform is extremely powerful. However, I would add that the initial configuration can be very detailed and requires thoughtful planning, but once it's configured, it really is a strong argument for the product.
