The way it operates allows us to decide on the spot that we would like to report on a usage of a specific feature - we tag this in their UI and after a few moments we are presented with historical data of the usage. Pendo also provides a useful capability to create user guides which we use to introduce customers to newly added features.

It's also helped me connect CX data back to roadmap suggestions. However, the learning curve is quite steep and some workflows feel more complex than they should be.
