What I like most about Perk is that it manages to combine two things that are usually separate: corporate spending control and user convenience. Being able to book quickly, without complicated procedures, and at the same time knowing that everything is centralized and organized for the company through a simple interface for both users and administrators, makes everything more efficient and user-friendly.
Travelperk is a well-designed and powerful solution to plan business trips. I like that I can plan both transportation and lodging from the same platform.
- Approval Workflows: Setting up and managing approval chanins is simple and keeps everything under control without unnecessary back-and-forth. - Travel Tracking: Knowing where the team is at any given time is real asset, especially when managing remote employees. - Expense management: Having expenses tied directly to bookings saves a lot of manual work and reduces errors.
What I find least convincing about Perk is the support. There's a lack of clarity on important aspects, such as changes to the account manager, which aren't communicated properly. Furthermore, when an issue arises, support usually doesn't provide real solutions; we end up with escalations that never get resolved. This can sometimes make using the service difficult.
My most frustrating experiences using travelperk comes when booking new trips, especially return trips. Firstly, when booking return tickets, if I along the process realise I made a mistake (for example picked the wrong departure time), I simply can't go back and my change, I have to restart the whole process from the beginning rather than changing a simple variable. Secondly, I repeatedly have to fill-in my date of birth and gender every time I book. Inputting this information happens at the confirmation screen and you have to click to leave the confirmation screen to another window to input the selection. I wish I could just consent to store that data next to all my other personal details Travelperk already stores. Thirdly, finding hotels doesn't always work. I've had a few instances where we agreed with colleagues to stay at the same hotel. However, if I search the hotel name, it doesn't show up so colleagues have to send me a url for me to find the hotel in question.
Customization options are somewhat limited. It work w,, out of the box, but more flexibility is certain settings would be appreciated.
