Phenom Intelligent Talent Experience Likes & Dislikes
I like that the Product Managers for the various products are very collaborative and happy to meet with us on a regular basis for us to provide feedback. I have seen products developed based on feedback that we have shared.
The migration from our old CRM to Phenom was relatively simple and pretty successful as we avoided losing valuable data related to prospective opportunities and candidate profiles. In addition, it has a pretty polished and friendly UI, which is always appreciated when you need to spend multiple hours per day with a certain platform.
Automations - including ability to drive these from a user/in-house admin perspective Integration (bidirectional)
I dislike that I have to buy premium support to get GOOD support. If we didn't pay for that, the support would be terrible (a lot of back and forth and misunderstandings). Also, as mentioned previously, I want better access to our own data via Analytics so our users can get the data they need, in the way they need it, in an easy way to access it.
The software was proposed as a good AI Recruitment CRM tool, and we had big expectations for the AI matching feature. It was the feature I disliked the most though. I found the candidates irrelevant to the position and qualifications, and it took me more time to scan all candidate profiles that were from the AI pool of candidates and get zero matches. The training we received was also rather inconvenient and ineffective as our CSM was located in the US while we were located in the EU, which meant that we couldn't easily find common timeslots and her response time to our questions afterwards was rather slow. It was a bit expensive for small teams as well.
Missing true/transparent root cause analysis when issues arise in system.

Phenom offers Automation Strengths but Lacks Comprehensive Campaign Tracking Features
Overall we are very happy with Phenom. We use it to host our external career sites and also for our CRM. I think the automation engine, the embedded AI and the filtering (creating spotlights) are very powerful. However, we would like to see better end-to-end tracking for campaigns. Currently, we can't include the UTM campaign or source in the filters for the Hiring Funnel report which makes it hard for us to track the true success of campaigns. - SALES OPERATIONS ANALYST<50M USDSoftwareReview Source
AI Matching Feature Lacks Accuracy in Candidate Qualification Assessment
We examined it as an alternative to our existing CRM platform but it had some strong negative points. Overall, complex and difficult to comprehend as a product, which was made worse by the limited training we received and lack of support from Phenom. Their AI feature was also not matching good candidates with the qualifications of the open position. After a 6-month pilot period, we decided to instead stick with our existing CRM. - Sr. Operations Manager<50M USDMiscellaneousReview Source
AI Sourcing and Analytics Enhance Recruitment Despite Email Opt-Out Issues
I used the Recruiting feature. Overall experience was above average based on the following points : 1. AI Sourcing feature - Allows generating leads through AI capability. You can set the radius, automated notification frequency and timeline. 2. Analytics and Reporting - Real-time insights about campaigns, sourcing effectiveness, candidate engagement, and consolidated reports. 3. Campaigns and Landing Pages - Give feature of customizing as per requirement (Adding content, images, videos) - Manager, Human Resources10B+ USDRetailReview Source
Emphasis on New Products Limits Attention to Existing System Challenges
Phenom is a company run by mission driven leaders. The Phenom team goes above and beyond to understand what their clients need to solve their problems. Unfortunately, solutions are created without the right level of product testing which negatively impacts their customers. - VP, Human Resources10B+ USDBankingReview Source
Product Innovations and Add-Ons Prioritized Although Tech Support Experience Can Be Challenging
Very focused on innovation and enhancement of the product as well as introduction of new capabilities as add-ons to existing. Core team seems genuinely focused not only on the success of the product, but also on the connectivity to existing company priorities and pain points. Tech support can sometimes be a challenge and frequency of updates/enhancements may exacerbate this at times.
