Sage Intacct Likes & Dislikes
The ease with which we can run reports already created and drill down to detailed transactions. The user-friendly layout makes it easy to train new users and find most of what we need on our own. The ease with which we can make changes to transactions or JE's if the books aren't closed, and the ability to close the books easily to keep from changing prior period financials. The number of applications Intacct already integrates with without having to create custom programming. The responsiveness of the application and the fact that it is almost never down. The accuracy of the integrations with other applications. If there's an error, it's always on the other application or user end. Having said that, the explanations for sync errors (when we manually import into Intacct) have never been good and could use much improvement.
Read Full ReviewThe system works well from the accounting side and does what it's supposed to do. We did write our own modules around Intacct to be able to support our requirements.
Read Full Review1) Ability to get the best resource on their team to help with an issue, problem or to assist in process improvement. 2) Have experts on staff who are available to assist. We have significantly leveraged their expertise on Dynamic Allocation set up and reporting. They have always met the questions with an open mind and come with with outside the box solutions when needed. 3) Sage Intacct is set up so that the USER can implement, administer and create reporting. There is no need to leverage an internal IT team or a consultant. 4) We have been able to improve our reporting significantly by leveraging the dimensions. We slice and dice the data so that it can be reviewed and leveraged by different executives within the organization.
Read Full ReviewThe reporting. I've invested many hours over the years trying to create and modify reports in Intacct to my needs. However, I find it more complicated and time consuming that it seems like it should be. If I can't figure it out, I'd have to work with an accounting firm to tell them what I need and have them implement it which is never quick or inexepensive. In the end, they don't know our system or organization like I do and I'd like to be able to create reports on the fly if necessary or dashboards that would be useful, but I end up abandoning most efforts because it never turns out like I want and I end up wasting a lot of time. I also mentioned the sync error information when manually uploading files to Intacct. The descriptions of the errors are terrible and always have been. They need to be clear about what the user needs to change or what the error is so we can quickly address it. It's frustrating to have an error and not be able to figure out what's wrong. It's usually something minute, but takes much time to decipher. I'd like more opportunity to try out some of the AI features without having to add a subscription for an additional module or service. This would be best to have it in our own environment so we could see if it would be useful with the way we have our platform structured. Even just a teaser to get the idea would be great. The AI in one application can be very different from another and as a nonprofit, I need to know if I can justify the cost before adding an additional recurring expense.
Read Full Review1) Dynamic Allocations are not set up to be leveraged with the Budget. We created a work around, but it would be great to have the system set up so that dynamic allocations can be leveraged with the budget.

Great Meat & Potatoes ERP with Inflexible Reporting
Intacct is user friendly for accountants and robust enough to do what we need. The interface is easy to read and modern and it's easy to navigate and train new team members. The reporting isn't great however. It's clunky and complicated to learn and create new reports. The report setup also feels restrictive because I can't always view the information I want in the way I want. Due to this, we have implemented an additional FP&A tool, Vena. - VP, Finance<50M USDReal EstateReview Source
Collaborative Support Improves Reporting
Sage Intacct is a product that can be administered, implemented and challenged by the USER. We do not need to leverage internal or external IT support. This has allowed our accounting team to challenge the system and Sage Intacct directly to get better, more robust reporting and analysis without needing to add staff or leveraging consultants. Sage Intacct's customer support, training and professional support teams are thorough, have excellent communication, believe in commitments made and enjoy a challenge. They have always partnered with us to find the best solution and ensured that the solution and the training met our needs via follow up. - Chief Financial Officer<50M USDHealthcare and BiotechReview Source
ERP System Offers Simplicity for Accountants But Module Limitations Persist
This is the right ERP system for companies in our stage of development. The implementation was rather short (less than 4 months) and inexpensive. The system provides an appropriate level of controls to satisfy the auditors without having undue complexity. - Director of Finance<50M USDIT ServicesReview Source
Accessible Setup and Logical Workflows Highlighted Alongside Issues With Contracts Module
The product is wonderful and very user friendly for all levels. I love that you can customize it to suit your business' needs. - Chief Operating Officer<50M USDSoftwareReview Source
Accounting Features Remain Reliable Amid Dissatisfaction With Pricing and Service Decline
We have been a customer for several years, but the quality of customer service has consistently declined. It is disappointing to see the same product increase in price by %10 to %20 each year while the level of support keeps declining. I used to recommend Intacct to a lot of our customers, but as of last year I stopped, because I am getting the same feedback from them.
