We have been a customer for several years, but the quality of customer service has consistently declined. It is disappointing to see the same product increase in price by %10 to %20 each year while the level of support keeps declining. I used to recommend Intacct to a lot of our customers, but as of last year I stopped, because I am getting the same feedback from them.

Powerful financial reporting and real-time visibility into financial data. Platform allows you to generate detailed reports and dashboards quickly.

The system works well from the accounting side and does what it's supposed to do. We did write our own modules around Intacct to be able to support our requirements.

The ease with which we can run reports already created and drill down to detailed transactions. The user-friendly layout makes it easy to train new users and find most of what we need on our own. The ease with which we can make changes to transactions or JE's if the books aren't closed, and the ability to close the books easily to keep from changing prior period financials. The number of applications Intacct already integrates with without having to create custom programming. The responsiveness of the application and the fact that it is almost never down. The accuracy of the integrations with other applications. If there's an error, it's always on the other application or user end. Having said that, the explanations for sync errors (when we manually import into Intacct) have never been good and could use much improvement.

This can be quite expensive as companies scale and require additional modules. Also, some of the advanced configurations and reporting features can have a steep learning curve

The reporting. I've invested many hours over the years trying to create and modify reports in Intacct to my needs. However, I find it more complicated and time consuming that it seems like it should be. If I can't figure it out, I'd have to work with an accounting firm to tell them what I need and have them implement it which is never quick or inexepensive. In the end, they don't know our system or organization like I do and I'd like to be able to create reports on the fly if necessary or dashboards that would be useful, but I end up abandoning most efforts because it never turns out like I want and I end up wasting a lot of time. I also mentioned the sync error information when manually uploading files to Intacct. The descriptions of the errors are terrible and always have been. They need to be clear about what the user needs to change or what the error is so we can quickly address it. It's frustrating to have an error and not be able to figure out what's wrong. It's usually something minute, but takes much time to decipher. I'd like more opportunity to try out some of the AI features without having to add a subscription for an additional module or service. This would be best to have it in our own environment so we could see if it would be useful with the way we have our platform structured. Even just a teaser to get the idea would be great. The AI in one application can be very different from another and as a nonprofit, I need to know if I can justify the cost before adding an additional recurring expense.

    Great Meat & Potatoes ERP with Inflexible Reporting

    Intacct is user friendly for accountants and robust enough to do what we need. The interface is easy to read and modern and it's easy to navigate and train new team members. The reporting isn't great however. It's clunky and complicated to learn and create new reports. The report setup also feels restrictive because I can't always view the information I want in the way I want. Due to this, we have implemented an additional FP&A tool, Vena.

    Sage Intacct Delivers Strong ERP Integration With Room For Billing Module Improvements

    We have been using Sage Intacct as our main Financial ERP for almost 5 years now. It has various great features like customisations around reporting, fields, Interactive reporting, API and cloud storage. Support has been great. Integrations with other ERP are great. It is flexible to be integrated with other P2P, O2C vendors available in the market. Billing module can be improved a bit. AP module and GL module are excellent.

    Reporting Dashboards Are Useful Yet Setup Time and Pricing Present Challenges

    I thought the implementation was a solid experience. It did take some effort and education to configure this product, but once it was up and running it felt flexible and relaible. Very useful for our finance team.

    Overall, the site serves its purpose and allows me to carry out my tasks with ease. I have not run into any major issues and I think it is user friendly. I would definitely recommend this product to another organization seeking an accounting application.
