What I like most about ClickUp is how everything is centralized in one place. This removes the need to pay for multiple tools and integrations, which cuts costs and simplifies my workflow. I also really like the new AI features with the ClickUp Brain. The AI agents in ClickUp help streamline documentation, assist with editing and support project set-up by automating tasks like creating folders, statuses, tasks and subtasks.
It seems to most of the integrations and automations that we need to connect to other services we use so our software doesn't exist in a silo. Everything seems to work together quite well and despite a bit of a learning curve to get our team up to speed with how we wanted to use click up we are now using it as our project management tool and it's been working very well.
The best feature hands down for us is the workflow and scheduling. Not only does this allow greater visibility among colleagues on whos working on what, but it also helps with optics for the clients. They can see exactly whats due to be delivered and when, saving time on preparing reports and having to fish around to find out exactly what everyones been working on. As well as this weve managed to use ClickUp Forms to integrate directly into the workflow. Clients can raise issues on a form that weve set up which is designed to get the details that we need to investigate first time, and when they submit that, ClickUp Integrations ensure that those issues are properly triaged not just within ClickUp - but across all of the other systems we use in our process, linking everything together.
I've noticed recently that the platform can feel a bit glitchy and sometimes clunky, likely due to the addition of new features. While I appreciate the continuous improvements, it can it has been ruining the user experience. The interface can also feel a bit overwhelming at times because of how many features it now has. However, I do acknowledge that a lot of this can be managed through customization.
Main issue that we find is that there's no native way to be able to email task or project lists to our clients on an automated repeatable schedule. They can go out as PDF but that's not as user-friendly as an organic task list in an email would be. Additionally, there are some limitations in the task view of the dashboard which compromises how refined your view is which we had to work around because there was no native solution.
As mentioned before it has to do with the learning curve required in order to get fully up to speed with it for new users. Whilst I agree that ClickUp is much more user friendly compared to a lot of other enterprise offerings, the sheer amount of functionality offered I find can feel overwhelming for new users. As well as this weve had numerous issues where ClickUp was using an exorbitant amount of memory in the browser, with individual tabs using up to 4GB of memory. Even though lot of these issues have been alleviated with recent updates - the clunkiness and slowness continues to rear its head every now and again. Finally it would be nice to be able to disable the AI features in certain places. Sometimes they just get in the way, for example when attempting to mention users in ClickUp Task comments a lot of the time the focus jumps to the AI prompter which just feels unnecessary.

AI Features in ClickUp Streamline Projects Yet Platform Feels Clunky at Times
My overall experience with ClickUp has been really great. I love the new updates with ClickUp 4.0, making it a centralized hub, which makes working with my team easier. I no longer need to leave the app to manage communication, documentation or project execution. I can work with my team, manage Agile sprints, organize project folders and now use sub-folders to structure work more efficiently. Compared to previous years, the platform feels much more aligned with how I manage projects today. I also like the ClickUp Brain feature that allows us to create different AI Agents for different tasks to streamline how we work. This has also forced me to experiment with AI and see how it could be beneficial in other areas in my business. Overall, I'm really happy with ClickUp and excited about how it continues to evolve. - Software Developer<50M USDSoftwareReview Source
Slight Learning Curve But A Game Changer In The End.
Initially the transition to ClickUp took a bit of time to set up everything and there was a learning curve in getting everyone using it however once this had been tackled its streamlined the workflow massively. - Prinicipal<50M USDServices (non-Government)Review Source
Extremely flexible and compatible with existing software but could use some stronger client-facing features
The product itself is excellent and does everything we need but the reason why we gave it three stars is because we found the support and community forums to not be as helpful as are used to receiving from other software companies - SALES OPERATIONS ANALYST<50M USDSoftwareReview Source
ClickUp Offers Custom Task Management With Notable Limits On Advanced Features
We have recently implemented ClickUp in my organization as our dedicated project management tool. Since we aim to keep costs low, we started off with their "Unlimited" plan which can support a few small teams internally (we use it for our go-to-market teams) but it also comes with certain limitations related to some advanced features. As for what concerns standard task management functionality and interactive collaboration, though, I have to admit it is one of the most versatile and effective tools I have used so far! - IT Associate<50M USDBankingReview Source
Streamlined Sprint Management Features Amid Frustrations With Pricing and Filter Usability
I have been using ClickUp at my workplace for several years, and overall it has been a dependable tool for managing tasks and sprints on a daily basis. The workflow tools are efficient, especially the ability to move unfinished tasks from the current sprint to the next with a single click, which helps keep our backlog organized. I also frequent move tasks between lists and the option to include the same task on multiple lists has been extremely helpful for cross team visibility and organization. Overall my experience has been positive, but there are occasional moments where loading times feel slow sometimes, and some advanced features can take a little learning. These are not major issues but they are areas where improvements could enhance productivity even further.
