Performance of Adobe Experience Manager Sites Across Market Features
Adobe Experience Manager Sites Likes & Dislikes
emphasizes features designed to improve site performance, such as optimized boilerplate code and capabilities to improve core web vitals
Integrates with other Adobe products, presumably. Guessing it's also well priced with that in mind. And it seems to be fairly customizable for web teams.
It excels at enterprise-scale content management. The component-based architecture makes it easy to maintain consistency across multiple site and I like the integration of other Adobe products, such as Analytics and Target. I also really like the translation feature and the 'drag and drop' feature, which makes it super easy to use (once you're comfortable with the whole thing).
complex usability and steep learning curve for both developers and new content authors, often requiring significant training and time to become fully productive
The user experience is not up to industry standard, in my opinion. Other content management systems are fairly easy for large numbers of users to figure out and require a low amount of training. The layout of a CMS should be intuitive. I find AEM to be the opposite, akin to other similarly-cryptic adobe products. Things are labeled idiosyncratically, buttons and clickpaths are not where you'd expect them, and it's surprisingly easy to break things. New users, accordingly, need lots of ramp up and support.
It was a really steep learning curve and integration took longer than expected. The licensing model is expensive, which is significant for large businesses.

Powerful but complex enterprise CMS
We've been using Adobe Experience Manager Sites for several months and it's been a mixed experience overall. Best for large enterprises and multiple brands but I think it would not be the best choice for small teams without much IT support or a smaller budget. - MARKETING MANAGER1B-10B USDSoftwareReview Source
Steep learning curve, not intuitive for day-to-day users
I've found AEM to be one of the most difficult and unintuitive content management systems I've worked with (compared to experiences across a few companies throughout my career, all with different systems). Though I'm sure the pricing and sales pitch are appealing, the day-to-day UX for non-dev users is clunky, buggy, and requires lots of training. - UNIVERSITY RELATIONS SPECIALISTGov't/PS/EdEducationReview Source

I have had a great experience overall. I like that this platform allows me to work on and also manage our content across various media platforms. - NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR50M-1B USDIT ServicesReview Source
Smooth Adobe Tool Integration with Efficient Content Updates and Complex Onboarding
As per my experience it can handle big enterprise sites which is great, it has built in optimization and testing so I don't need any external apps and it connects smoothly with other Adobe tools.
