Service: BOC adopts a team-based approach, which makes their service offering unique. From acquisition to implementation and workshops, we worked with different domain experts and they were all well connected. It goes without saying that team members are highly-skilled both in terms of technical and conceptual aspects. Product: The tool is scalable (basically at no cost!). One example: if you want to model a certain aspect of the architecture, and start small, you can go ahead and limit the number of features and meta-model elements. This may make sense if your organization is not yet knowledgeable about the tool yet. After reaching a certain maturity, you can just activate further features in the tool. Another very important aspect is the support for the ArchiMate standard. There are various tools on the market that already offer this feature, but none of them are as easy to use and understand as ADOIT.
Read Full ReviewThe best services provided by ADOIT are the bulk loading mechanisms, with an API for future no-touch updates to Application and Technology layers. Potentially the Business Layer could be fully integrated with tools like ADONIS. The service that provided the most ROI was the templated Application Roadmap modelling, which were used to show different application transition scenarios, year over year. Applications fully mapping components, integrations, system software and the underlying on-prem & cloud technology layer, provide total cost of ownership insight/reporting, as well as the basis of change management processes.

Most limitations from previous versions (e.g. desktop-based administrative toolkit, collaboration possibilities, roadmapping) are all enhanced in the new version (17.0).
Read Full Reviewworkflow issues seem to pop up: - sharing a link between different licenses is not possible (RW users cannot generate a shared link for RO users) -reporting on transitive relationships is harder than it needs to be -workspaces workflow is not OK for filling out with multiple people is parallel. Only the last update wins (TIME values) -automations for creating models are not an option as the API doesn't allow for it -check in check out is not usable for large groups.

ADOIT - A great tool and aid for Enterprise Architecture.
ADOIT's newest version still provides the simple interface that I like and is very easy to navigate and is very well structured. Searching for objects is quite easy, with options to filter and display the results quickly. The modeling capability is very easy to use with its drag-and-drop features and the hovering assistant makes it easier to create relations. It also has the capability of customizing data field properties which is very useful on our end since we can create additional fields based on our actual requirements.
