I haven't found a data query product that can be as friendly as Power Query.

Power Query is a built into Excel which is great for users who need data prep but don't need a full suite of analytic tools. It can connect to a variety of sources and provides basic data prep features like filtering, adding/removing columns, and calculated columns. It is a bit slow sometimes though, especially working with a large dataset with many columns. On my machine it tends to freeze up for a minute when trying to filter.

The DAX language is not close to SQL language.
