First, the board views. Being able to flip the same data between timeline, calendar and table without rebuilding anything is honestly a lifesaver. My manager wants timeline view and I just want a table, everyone gets what they want off one source of truth. Second, the automations. I set up a few recipes like when status changes done notify the reviewer, or when a due date is tomorrow ping the owner, and it quietly runs in the background. Third, the integration with other tools. We got it talking to google drive without much fuss, and the two way sync actually works properly which I wasnt expecting cause usually these integrations are half baked.
What I liked most was the visuals. As soon as you open it you get to see where all your diagrams and flows are. intuitive drag and drop, colors etc
I like how it has automation. You can set up an automation to notify yourself once the date arrives, or even automatically tag a teammate once the item is created. It really makes your life easier. I like the interface; even non-tech-savvy people can navigate it easily. I also like that they have 24/7 support agents you can ask anytime, and they provide answers/feedback right away!
First, the pricing. you hit a paywall for stuff that should just be included. Time tracking? higher tier. proper dashboards? higher tier. more automation runs? same old deal. adds up quicker for smaller teams. Secondly, the notifications overload. Once you have got a few boards running, the bell becomes a nightmare. I've missed imp stuff burried under status change pings. filtering is not granular enough. lastly, the mobile app is rough man. Fine for quick checks but actual work on it is painful, columns cut off, views barely load, editing is a chore.
What I disliked most is that prices climbed really fast. Though I'm not the one paying, I'm the internal customer that gets questioned when someone has to pay. Another issue I didn't like was the confusion between templates and flows, couldn't easily replicate myu tamplates
I think they need to widen their third-party software integration. They need to add more applications/platforms to connect to Monday.com as a CRM, and the other app as another tool. For example, add another phone system integration where we can text from Monday.com. Another thing they can improve on is to make more automated data. They should also add more resources or expand the articles for common questions or FAQs.
