Eloqua provides a strong, enterprise level marketing function, but it comes with a very steep learning curve. As a first time marketing automation platform it can be pretty intimidating, but once you understand the setup, the features are extensive.

“Customers See Decline in White Glove Treatment”

The technical team is fantastic. The customer success team has shown a significant decline over the last few years. We are a large account and with the constant re-org that occurs, we've lost the "white gloves" we have had for the last 12 years and have seen engagement only to "buy this, or that, or upgrade to this" but consistent unresponsiveness to our daily needs. The tool it'self works well for our needs but the CSM experience will result in us looking for alternative vendors before our next renewal period.

It is very complex compared to other automation / CRM tools I've tried. It can feel a bit clunky and it really takes a while to get the hang of it. Even simple tasks such as adjusting forms can take ages if you don't use Eloqua frequently, and every time I used it I felt like I was essentially relearning the product.

In my opinion Its steep learning curve, the biggest drawback of this product. Eloqua is extremely powerful, but its new users require significant training to use it effectively. Also the user feels dated which as some newer marketing automation tools, which can slow down everyday tasks.
