I liked integrating docs to create training materials, assets, and SOPs, then having them set to tasks/objectives in Clickup. The online live collaboration, really helped collaborators being able to comment and see version history so we could track changes over time. All of this could be done asynchronously. Letting us jump in as needed, then seeing what has been modified. The custom dashboards and reporting were also a gamechanger. We were able to build our own versions, showing us what information we found necessary to see at a glance, and being able to report and share this with leadership to make informed decisions. This helped me personally to track initiatives, gather feedback, and manage tasks.

Sprint planning templates are really useful, they remove the overhead of thinking, notifications also make sure that you are synced on time. The ability to create a customised task dashboard gives you better flexibility when you want to razor focus.

Everything is in one place so I can manage tasks, documents and even team chats without jumping between different apps. The flexibility to switch views, whether its a list, board, calendar or timeline it helps me stay organized in a way that matches how I think. Automation tools are a huge time saver for recurring tasks but what really makes ClickUp special is how it grows with your team whether you are working solo or managing a big project with multiple departments.

I wish there was an intuitive mobile app. As someone who works hybrid and moves across buildings/locations, this would be really helpful. What is available is nothing more than a basic/washed down version of the website/platform. It will not replace what you do normally.

pricing sometimes feels a little steep. Integrations are good but when I tried Slack and Clickup, I had to use documentation back and forth, it could have been as simple as possible. Messages inside a thread cannot be created as tickets, which would be more relevant than creating tickets from standard ones. It gets slow sometimes which makes the user lose a few seconds every time they open a ticket, which accumulates to create a bigger impact.

ClickUp can feel too busy sometimes and there are so many features that it's easy for things to get messy if you don't keep it organized and also some parts of the app do similar jobs which can be confusing. It can be slow when working on big projects or switching between different views quickly.
