What I like most about the product is its flexibility and all-in-one approach to project management. The ability to customize workflows, create task hierarchies, and switch between different views like list, board, and calendar makes it adaptable to different team needs. It also centralizes task tracking, collaboration, and documentation in a single platform, which helps improve visibility and organization across projects.
It seems to most of the integrations and automations that we need to connect to other services we use so our software doesn't exist in a silo. Everything seems to work together quite well and despite a bit of a learning curve to get our team up to speed with how we wanted to use click up we are now using it as our project management tool and it's been working very well.
Highly customizable task management with statuses, priorities, and custom fields Multiple views like List, Board, and Timeline that help visualize work differently Built-in collaboration features such as comments, mentions, and document sharing Integration capabilities with tools like Slack, GitHub, and Google Drive Automation features that help reduce repetitive manual updates
What I dislike about the product is that the interface can feel overwhelming at first due to the wide range of features and customization options. For new users, the learning curve may be slightly steep, and setting up workflows properly can take some time before the platform feels fully optimized for daily use.
Main issue that we find is that there's no native way to be able to email task or project lists to our clients on an automated repeatable schedule. They can go out as PDF but that's not as user-friendly as an organic task list in an email would be. Additionally, there are some limitations in the task view of the dashboard which compromises how refined your view is which we had to work around because there was no native solution.
At times, the interface can feel a bit overwhelming for new users because of the extensive feature set. Additionally, performance may slightly lag when working with larger workspaces or heavily customized dashboards. Initial onboarding also takes some time to get used to the hierarchy structure of Spaces, Folders, and Lists.
