Intacct is user friendly for accountants and robust enough to do what we need. The interface is easy to read and modern and it's easy to navigate and train new team members. The reporting isn't great however. It's clunky and complicated to learn and create new reports. The report setup also feels restrictive because I can't always view the information I want in the way I want. Workday's transparency and commitment to customer success has taken a hit in the last year or so. Our ability to influence product direction is now highly compartmentalized, without any insight into how other customers are responding. Workday says they are using AI to gather and synthesize feedback, but again, there's no transparency in that process. The Customer Success program now seems to be a vehicle for additional sales. Whenever we meet with our CSM, our sales rep is also there. While there is little follow up on any issues we may have, the sales team is all over opportunities to license more products. Some elements are outstanding and some are ok/below par. Support for the product is not great - hard work, repetitive and often lacking with the in depth responses you might expect especially when paying additional for elevated (unified) support. Technical expertise we have been able to access has alleviated some of the support issues and provided much more in terms of knowledge and advice - excellent. Licensing and usage is extremely complex leading to a number of additional costs, meaning it feels expensive. The modules occasionally do not go far enough for the needs of the business and you have to purchase additional software to handle this There are some elements that we cannot do or are limited in doing compared to our previous AX12 on premise experience. Performance tuning, storage, archiving and retrieval as examples. To mitigate this we do use a vertical which allows us to do rental which adds to come of the complexity of the above. We have been happy with the SAP S/4 HANA Public Cloud solution we implemented from SAP. We had a 7 month project that started in August of 2024 and we went live with Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report modules for our UK distribution company. We implemented with an SI (Reply) and while we had some bumps with items such as integration of a sales portal into Public Cloud, MDG S/4 Hub integrated from our corporate ECC environment to the BM UK S/4 Public version. Overall, Dynamics 365 Business Central has been a solid system for us. It handles core financials well and ties in smoothly with Excel and Power BI, which makes reporting a lot easier. Once everything was set up, it became pretty reliable for day-to-day work. The setup phase took some effort, and there are still areas that could e a little more intuitive, but overall, it's been a good platform that scales with our needs.
